.260 short barrel powders

I find that H4350 works great in my 24" krieger, however i'm going to be getting a 20" 1:8 twist .260 shortly and will be using 130-140gr for a brush hunting rifle and got to wondering if a little faster powder would be better with the shorter barrel, or should i just stick with the H4350.

Most of the shots will be in the 50-200yd range with this rifle, but some may be out to around 400yds. Any thoughts on this? Thanks, blue.

Like you I've settled on H4350 for my 129 and 130 Gr hunting loads. I did get some pretty good results with IMR 4064. It would probably give a little less muzzle blast in a 20" bbl.

I've had good luck with IMR as well, i just live in one of those areas with big temp. swings. At the moment it's 0 outside but this summer it will be 90-100 degrees. So i need to stick with something a lttle less sensitive. blue
