You guys that are running the 260 Rem. what is your freebore? I know it depends on bullet and room in the box just trying to get a general idea. Thanks

I have a .260 A.I. and my freebore is right at .170. This is specific for 140 class bullets, not worrying about a magazine.

.110" works well with 130-140 class bullets

**My 260 is mag fed, so COAL was a concern when determining my chamber specs. If you're single feeding, a longer freebore would probably be more accommodating.

You may want to research which brand of bullets you will want to shoot also as some have a much longer ogive than others. Hornady Amaxes for example have a shorter ogive than say Bergers and thus they need more freebore to keep the base of the bullets out of the "boiler room" if you want to shoot the 140gr class of bullets.. What shootdots suggested is a pretty good area that accommodates most.

One bullet that I've found that is very forgiving when it comes to chasing the lands is the Lapua Scenar 139 grain. Not near the BC of Bergers but isn't picky on seating depth.
