260 rem Loads - 1-8" twist

Would appreciate any loads / load experience for the 260 rem . I am using 136 gr Senars - Rifle heavy barrel 30" . Testing H4350 . Anyone with loads using H4831SSC ?

I would say a node around 47-48 grs of H4831sc , and will be close to max. So start a little below and work up. Good luck!

That sounds a little warm to me. My Hornady manual gives a max load of 46.0 gr with 140 gr A-Max. Also, with Lapua brass I'm compressing the powder at 46.0 gr. Regards JCS

222Remx4, How are your loads looking with H4350? I shoot 42 grains with a 142 SMK, but I've been wanting to try the 136 scenar, cause I bought a rather large amount while they were on sale at Midway. Please let me know what you find out with this combo. By the way, my 260 (1-8 29") shoots lights out with 42 grains of H4350 and any bullet in the 140 class. I just haven't tried the 136s and would be really interested in what you find out.

Thanks

I don't have the 136 listed But with the 139 H4350 look perfect. H4831 SC doesn't look bad also. With the H4831 SC I feel you will get far greater barrel life. With H4350 your burning 99.2 % in the barrel And your 95% max speed is at 17''. With 4831 SC your burning 96.8 %in the barrel Your 95 % max speed is at 25.0",I feel the longer you can use the barrel to get the 95 % the longer the barrel will last. H1000 you cant get enough in the case . Larry
