260 and IMR4007SSC

Has anyone tried IMR 4007 with the 260 and 120 gr or 140 gr bullets. I can't get a response from Hodgdon about data.

Quickload shows 40.8gr as max load for the 140 SMK, and 42.8gr for the 120gr Nosler Balistic Tip.

These are not tested, just reflects what Quickoad lists for that cartridge, bullet and powder type. So, if you use them, start a little lower and work to where you want them.

Our club has any where from 20 to 30 guys running 260s right now, and all of them shoot one of two loads.

43.5 of H4350 or 47.0 of H4831SC (Work your way up to these loads as always)

Rem Brass

139 Scenar or 140 Amax

26" tubes will get you 2835 to 2865 average, some barrels are a lil faster than others. All are bartlein 1:8.5 with 4 groove or 5Rs
