Does anyone know how accurate the new 26 Nosler is??? If anyone has one and would like to share the information. I have a friend of mine going on a elk hunt out west and was thinking about either building or buying one. He and I would both like to know before starting a project. Thanks Russ

It has a lot to do with the gun/scope along with what ledd sedd. You cant just grab a bullet off the shelf and say "now THAT'S an accurate sob!!"

Ive never built a 26 nosler but I did quite a few 28 noslers last month and they have all shot the 195 berger .3 moa vertical or better at 1000 yds off the bipod with the load I developed. RE33 is pushing the 195 3100+ fps. The nodes are extremely wide, 1 gr, for this caliber w this bullet and powder combo. Had a customer send me a 10 shot group at 600 that was under 2". The 28 nosler w the 195 berger blows the 26 nosler away. It has roughly 25% more energy at 1000 over the 26 as well. We shot a bull elk at 1150 yds a few weeks ago while we were out hunting. I came out with a new 5 port brake for it and my buddy's 55 lb son had no problems shooting it. attached is a link to the video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2kl5DHAbDoI

Ryan, what twist and length of barrel have you been using? what contour was that barrel in the video, I've been looking at building one real hard.

Thanks, Dave
