That's why I think it is going to be a hard sell. People know more now then they did 20 or 40years ago. When Alex Hoyer developed the 6.5-300 wby he sold a lot of them around here. We had the longrange hunters plus the Williamsport 1000 yard range. The two biggest problems were barrels lasting and on good days the wash was lost right at about 1100 yards. When you can't see the wash or impact it gets hard to kill things. Along came the 7-300, a little better and then the 30-378 which was also a little better. Now the 338's rule for extreme distance. As if those speeds havent been seen in other wildcats already like the 6.5-300 wby or the 6.5 STW. its just another powder wasting overbore barrel burner to add to the pile.
The 26 Nosler is what it is ,nothing more nothing less. If it wasn't for variety we'd still be shooting squirrels and all the other 4 legged animals with .38 cal round balls and the Punt gun for waterfowl. I mean really who needs more than a 22rf and a 30-30 anyway... just saying6Dasher said:It's not like there aren't loads of those already

It's a solution to a problem that doesn't exist. Okay, "what else is new".
