.257 recoil lug?

I bought a lightly used barrel. Risky, I know, but it looks great inside. For it to work with my action, I need a .257 lug.
Anyone know where I can get one? Custom ground?

So it sounds like you're setting headspace with the recoil lug vs with a reamer.

Might want to check out PT&G.

did you get that .257 figure with a headspace gage and gap gage?

what do you meen?.. people have bin setting HS with a recoil lug since the Hawken Brothers—— lol

PGT has a lug listed at .250 close as I could find, Sorry Josh. I did the latest 300RUM with a cheap factory take off barrel so I can get it shooting. Ordered several lugs from PGT. First one I tried worked perfect with the gages. I looked at PGT last night for josh's and PGT had the lugs spread out with all the Remington products so you would have to look for way more time than I had.

Thanks ebb! I searched for an hour and couldn’t find one either. As luck would have it, a fellow Texan had one and he’s sending it to me.

Kinda like a nut barrel, without the nut!
