New stock McMillan U10-7 came in today and put the Stiller 2500XR with new Lilja barrel . Not a really heavy barrel but hat was all they had in the Extras at Lilja . Wanted to see what it would do at 100 with a good stiff stock . Shot the Sk Long Range match really good but sold all my Midas + and did not have any to try . Friend was shooting his new Lilja CZ457 MTR stock next to me and wanted me to try a few Midas + he had just to see what it would do so I did not want to hurt his feelings so I said I would ! Lol Here are three groups shot tonight I dhot two groups and Friend shot one group .

If those two groups were shot at 100 he has obviously found a lot his rifle likes. That's amazing. Does the mag work at all?

Try the RWS R50 and R100 as well as Eley Match or Tennex as well. I have found the Lapua Long range pretty inconsistent, where as the Midas plus has been excellent of late but 100y would be the limit. I shoot a lot of 200y and the Lapua just does not cut it, also does not like real hot conditions. ie Above 80 deg so keep it cool as temp rise.

The mags work ok ! not great but ok . My 10 round that came with action is working good now . I had to put small shim on mag to tighen it up and get slop out and it fixed it . ejection and extractions are my problems . 99% with one case extracted and falling back in feeding ramp area and having to clear it out .

I tried Lapua Long Range yesterday and it did not like it at all . It shot CCI standard better than Lapua LR.

Every barrel has it's likings . I'm a long time fan of RWS.....Number one
go to is always R-50. I did a test with the R-100's just a few weeks ago,
and it shot right with the Eley Tenex although both of those still fell
behind the R-50 at both 50 and 100 yards.

I am waiting for my 2500X build but the RWS R50 shoots pretty good in my T1X. We lot tested ten different lots of the R50. It shot excellent in my buddies Trident. Good enough for him to order a case. He mostly shot Eley before.

You might order some springs and try stronger extractor ejector springs , you may even have to file the under side of the hooks of the ejector extractor , but might be best to call Jerry Stiller first he is supposed to be super nice and helpful , holeshot arms

How to fix your ejection issues is simple. I have 2 of these and have had to do this to both of them after talking to Jerry stiller. Just order a set of 2500x extractor paws, you never hear of people with the single shot having the issues. Just lightly file a bevel in the left hand side to allow the ammo from the magazine to pop up into the bolt face. It don't take much of a bevel

Thanks! I I was going to order a set from Killoughs and when I went back to website it showed out of stock !

good news is purchased a 5 round savage mag and put the dremel and cratex to it and polished rough edges and feed lips and it is feeding like butter know . got 2 Csspeck 10 rounders and polished them ! dont waist your time with these mags ! they are crap !!!!!

Fixed feeding problems , had old 5 round 308 AICS mag cut off feed lips and epoxied Savage 10 rounder in and it feeds like butter ! Very easy fix.

If you would Sir. What does your rifle weight with and without the scope? What scope are you using?

Excuse my ignorance, i am still quite new to the precision rimfire game.

Why would the maker of the Stiller action ( an extremely well thought of piece of equipment ) choose to utilize one of the lowest quality magazines on the planet?? i am from Canada and almost bought a complete rifle built by one of the "Optics" companies but changed my mind when I found they utilized savage mags.

Speaking of mags.... Have you tried using an Anschutz mag in your rifle? Savage mages are close in geometry and locking notches....
