2500x Mullerworks Lee Gardner Rotex BNA

padom

Put this 2500x BR 22RF together over the past few months. Lee Gardner (@skeetlee ) did the barrel work. He used my 22LR Match Eachus reamer to chamber it and it turned out great. It's a hammer and a absolute joy to shoot.

I've only had it out 3 times now including yesterday. Just dialing it in, getting some rounds down it and seeing what it likes.

I plan to shoot some cards with it now and see how it shoots at 100yd also.

Nice looking rifle. I have one suggestion. A friend has built himself a top component .22 that shoots very well. He has found that having a tuner in his barrel gives a great advantage.

I have multiple tuners. Thicker barrels don't tune well. This is a 1.25" MW straight that won't be getting a tuner... I have a 0.900 and 1.0 barrel being done for this rifle as well to test and compare with a tuner.

I have a friend with a .260AI that just hammers. It has a long 1.25 dia. barrel. Adding an Ezell tuner is what brought it to its current level of accuracy. He has a lathe and experiments with tuners over a wider range of settings than anyone that I know of. If he has to go too many turns out to get to his best tune for a rifle, he adds weight to the tuner.

I have tuners on my centerfire 1.25 straights and they hammer for sure.

Haven't found any improvement on my last 1.25 straight rimfire. We will see

Some decent groups but good Lord, 1/2 of them are not even close to claimed dimension.
How is it possible, for instance, for a group with space between holes to be .175”? Group with holes side by side will be about .220”

Every group is measured outside to outside black smudge minus 0.224.

Do you need to see that measured on video then the math done for you?

Two holes touching are exactly bullet diameter……with space between holes, larger than bullet diameter.
Basic principle there sport, and I shoot group matches every week.

You're basic principle is wrong, chipper. Dont quit your day job

Mike Ezell can make you a tuner for that barrel,He was only one who could me a tuner bigger than your barrel for a rifle I have

I finally got some time to get this rifle back out and shoot some cards at 50yd. Not ARA targets but I did open a case of IBS 50yd rimfire targets I had to give a better idea of his this rifle will shoot.

1.2" MW Straight barrel, no tuner and no wind flags.

Had a 2-10MPH switching wind today that was a little tricky but I think it did alright. None lot tested ammo, shot a few different lots of CenterX and Midas.

This was the first target I shot through the clean barrel
