Manzella Bartlein RimX testing

Finally got out to test the first barrel from Mike @ https://www.manzellaprecision.com/ . The machine work on these barrels are excellent. Amazing fit and finish. The thread to receiver fit is perfect, no wobble when screwing the action on the barrel. Nice engraving on the driving bands on a chambered round and zero issues extracting a live round. High polished chamber and chamfer. No lead shaving after shooting 100rd...

It didn't disappoint! Started hammering from the first rounds down the barrel.

20" Bartlein M24
1/2-28 rimfire muzzle threads
22LR Match Eachus chamber
XLR Envy chassis
BnA TacSport Pro 2 Stage
Athlon Cronus Gen2 BTR

Shot from a SEB NEO

Here is the first 12rd down the barrel of SK+ to zero at 50yd. After adjusting zero with the first 4 shots, the rest shot into a nice clover leaf.

I then took an opened box of Center X that had 10rd left in it and shot 2 five shot groups. Top center first, then the left group.

I then shot these 4 5x5's at 50yd...starting with the top row and down row by row I shot 3 lots of Center X and then 1 lot of R50 across the bottom row....that 3rd line down, last lot of CenterX was really shining compared to the rest. Not a bad 0.292" 5x5 AGG!

We had rain coming, breeze was kicking up and it was starting to spit. Decided to shoot a few groups at 100yd and get out of there since the breeze was really starting to blow.

That 28554 lot of CenterX was really shining at 50 and 100yd! R50 performed better at 100 than at 50.

This is 3x5 of R50

Can't wait to get out and get some more rounds down this barrel. Especially at 100, 200 and 300yd. Very impressed with the results with 100rd or so down the barrel!!

I also have a 1.2" Straight GM 4140 20" barrel from Manzella to test next. Stay tuned....

The SEB NEO picked up from one of the members here being put to good use!

Got out last week to shoot this Manzella Precision Bartlein RimX @ 100yd. Shot the same lot of CX that shined at 50yd and tested a new lot of R50.

Wasn't as calm as I would have liked with a 7mph gusting cross wind but this R50 really shined!! Looking forward to testing this barrel at 200-400yd in the near future.

All groups we're shot @ 100yd

This is 4shots before I caught a gust that blew the 5th..

0.437 - 0.223= 0.224 4 shots

Been testing another 20" Green Mountain RimX barrel from Manzella Precision chambered with my 22LR Match Eachus Chamber.. it's a 1.20" straight barrel and balances really well and shoots even better.

Took it out to test some new lots of RWS R50, RWS Special Match and CenterX today.

Total of two 10 shot groups @ 200yd. If you remove that 1 high flyer on the first group below, the other 9 shots are 1.51" otherwise its 2.02" 10 shots.. The 2nd 10 shot group below measures 2.53".. If you remove those 2 high flyers, the other 8 shots measure 1.47"...

And here is the single lot of RWS Special Match I had. I shot the lowest SD and the fastest velocity of all the ammo I tested. I shot these three 5 shot groups which really surprised me. Needless to say, I just ordered a case of it ;)

Here is the single new lot of Center X I tested today. SD was double the RWS ammo but outside of the 2 flyer, it shot 1.56" 8 shots @ 200yd which is excellent... I shot a second group before this one that had 6" of verticle in the 10 shot group but I did just switch from RWS to Lapua so that could be a lube deal because it tightened up when I shot this below 2nd 10 shot group... I still see more random flyers from the CenterX vs the RWS..

This barrels on the way to @F Class John

Very nice....would you say my rimx is doing ok if I shot a 50 shot(dispersion test) @100 yards and the whole group is covered by a quarter except 4 shots that I pulled...
shot outdoors(not sure what the wind was) off bipod and rear bag......good ?bad?.....

I ask because I have several thousand rounds through this barrel but I want it to shoot smaller so...I'm thinking of ditching my triggertech for a bix'n andy (possible ignition gains?) & trying a tuner........

I also want to try a different barrel but I'm kinda scared once I pull it off it might not be the same......unless you guy's say it's shooting like crap lol...then it wouldn't matter lol
