2500 Trident question

Anyone with a 2500 action - will it chamber / feed an empty case?

Can you drop an empty case in the action and close the bolt? Nope, at least I‘ve never been that lucky.
I have to prod and poke at an empty case in order to get it in the chamber, but eventually it goes.

checking to see if I might have an alinement problem - one that mat nick the lead bullet. I had read somewhere that the vodo action does….

I’ve not had that problem (nicking the lead bullet) with my 2500

Two different ballgames. BR actions single loading from a tray and Vudoo loading from a magazine.

Most BR shooters push it into the chamber vs laying it in the tray and using the bolt to start it into chamber.
The old Swindlehurst actions, and some walther actions would allow it with a V shaped tray without damage, maybe a few others.
I still push it in the chamber as far as I can first.

Think about this a fired case is slightly bigger than an unfired complete round that and the fact a live round has the bullet to guide the case into the chamber.
I always save some fired cases to inspect them at home and I also use them to check pin hit. they always need to be guided into the chamber as they won't just push in like a live round.

Lee - yes that was my concern the the lead bullet guiding the rnd to be chambered - could be damaged And cause it to be a flyer…..

I will be more careful not to use the bolt to push the bullet in….
