250 ATIP seating die?

Does anyone know where to get a seating die stem for the atips for a Redding die for 300 prc or do I even need to worry

I'd try seating a few to see if there is a problem.

As long as your neck tension is around 2 / 3 thou - you’ll be fine with the same stem you use on 225s , if it’s in the 4/5 s you may see a mark on the bullet - your mileage may of course differ , but like seating primers y’all never know unless you try

I made my own seating stem for 225 and 230 atip, as I was shooting a heavily compressed load, in 308 and putting a ring in the bullet with the factory specific seating stem. Drilled a .160" hole, ground a tiny carbide boring bar to fit the profile of the bullet on the diamond grinder. Setup in lathe, move tool holder with bullet in collet to shut out light along the profile of the bullet...install seating stem in collet, drill, then bore with profile tool, next use fine carbide lapping compound on the bullet and seating stem...clean and assemble. It will seat a 225 or 230 bullet over 49 to 50 grains of powder in a 308 case, no marks. 225 eldm 2477 fps in 18" AR 10...just for fun...and 49.1 gr 2456 fps 12.0 S/D showing promise. Not my long range choice but just wanted to see what is possible out of the 18" AR platform...
