I stand corrected the 30-06 had a 17.5 degree shoulder. However, that was what Ned Roberts said it should have. The shoulder of the 30-06 not the 7x57 Mauser. Don't know if it had anything to do with the lawsuit Mauser filed (won) against Springfield.

It's all pretty much the same difference: frog-hair splitting - they all work quite well.
Decent dies and 8x57, or, 7x57 brass will cover a lot of cartridges . . . RG
