25 creedmoor or 25-06?

Oh I'm definitely guilty of the above. There's been times I've gone back an read my own post and thought now how the hell could anyone understand what I was saying when I don't understand it and I'm the one who wrote it.

I’m a huge fan of the 25-06, I’ve owned three over the years, deadly. That being said if I was looking for another quarter bore I’d probably run with the creed if choosing between the 2, proper head stamped brass would be nice. I’m currently enjoying a 25x47, it’s been awesome on deer and vermin, I do wish I could get proper head stamped brass for it though. No wrong choice in my opinion but I’ve always been a 25 caliber fan.

25x47lai is what I have been wanting and I just cant seem to justify a reamer for two battels‍. But I just have to except i need it that bad.

When you look at the 25 Creedmoor compared to the 6.5 version with same type of bullet weight(close), that .007 in neck reduction must spike a lot of pressure. I noticed some charges drop from 44 grains down back to around 38 for the .257 round.

I think of it as the total bore volume reduction. Same mass and all that gas being pushed through a smaller tube. Changes the behaviour considerably. I can use N555 in with a 144gr bullet in 260Rem and a 107gr bullet in 6GT. Presumably that smaller bore means the lighter bullet is creating similar conditions to the heavier bullet in a larger bore...
