I am also impressed with both the speed and accuracy. What length barrel?Still works fine after a oops moment off the 4 wheeler.........
I just picked up a new BAT Igniter action Saturday and I'm waiting for my Bartlein 8tw to arrive any day to build a straight 25 SAUM to shoot the new 134 ELD M. I'm not sure which powder will be best but if I can get enough of it in the case I was thinking N570 would be a top velocity performer but it has some of the biggest chunkiest kernels of about any powder I've ever used so I may run out of case volume before it pressures out.Dug my 7 1/2 twist 257 SAUM 35 IMP out to check out the new 25 caliber 134 LD-M bullets from Hornady....

30" Brux 1.250I am also impressed with both the speed and accuracy. What length barrel?
Using Remington at the moment, but probably will use some of my ADG stash. The Remington is on 7 loads now and still tight at 3100 FPS......Never weighed one, but can if you want..I just picked up a new BAT Igniter action Saturday and I'm waiting for my Bartlein 8tw to arrive any day to build a straight 25 SAUM to shoot the new 134 ELD M. I'll be using necked down ADG 6.5 SAUM brass for my 25 SAUM, whose brass are you using for your 257 SAUM Imp. and do you by chance know what the case capacity is, in water, of one of your fireformed cases?
If you could measure one that would be great. The SAUM case is already pretty straight with not much taper but squaring the shoulder off a bit more would increase case capacity a little. I'm just curious how much. The guys at UM have a "improved" SAUM they're doing in 6mm and I think they're getting something around 74gr H20 case capacity with their improved version.Using Remington at the moment, but probably will use some of my ADG stash. I always enjoy your posts Preacher, I currently have a 25 Saum in the works with Zack, I’m looking forward to it, this is just fuel for the fire.Dug my 7 1/2 twist 257 SAUM 35 IMP out to check out the new 25 caliber 134 LD-M bullets from Hornady....

Do you plan to shoot either the 133/135 Berger, Hornady 134 ELD-M, or something else?I always enjoy your posts Preacher, I currently have a 25 Saum in the works with Zack, I’m looking forward to it, this is just fuel for the fire.
I’ll probably be using this as a light carry rifle for hunting. I have the long range stuff covered. I bought a Kimber 270 WSM, beautiful wood and good platform to build on fir what I want. Zack has been having fun with his, I believe he’s shooting 110 accubonds through it. I’ll be using lighter bullets too, 110-120.Do you plan to shoot either the 133/135 Berger, Hornady 134 ELD-M, or something else?
I have also in my stash of 25 caliber stuff, some 131 Black Jack's from Sierra, and 133s from Berger up nest..Do you plan to shoot either the 133/135 Berger, Hornady 134 ELD-M, or something else?
So you.re right around 74gr +/- H20 case capacity with Rem brass. Much appreciated, thank you for taking the time to do that.Remington case weighed 222.840 empty and 296.570 with distilled water.
737.835 is the difference...
Going to prep some ADG 7mm SAUM brass today and see if it improves the groups..
The Remington brass acts weird sometimes...
It will be a few days but I will do that....So you.re right around 74gr +/- H20 case capacity with Rem brass. Much appreciated, thank you for taking the time to do that.
When you get the ADG brass formed is there any chance you could measure that stuff too?![]()
