25-06 question

Is there a new cartridge out that can match the 25-06..i talk about different cartridge all the time because they're to many to choose from.
If some one was going out today to purchase a 25-06 would you tell a buddy..hold on..check this out before you buy that..
I cant keep up on whats hit the market..
I doubt the 25 creedmore can do it..
25-06 with 65.8 grains of water for case capacity
.25 creedmore with 52.5 grains of case capacity
257 roberts AI with 57 grain capacity
So what modern case is the equivalent of a 25-06 in a .25 cal cartridges

Since I have everything for 25-06 already, I am having my next barrel with a 1 n 8 twist for heavier 130 gr bergers….. and leave it at that… I dont know why I’m tweaking.. killed 120 whitetail with 117 gr BTSP.. most within 200 yards and few long over 500. My buddy shoots a 300 RUM and it doesnt do much different on white tail.

I am partial to the 25-06 because of the way it killed my first whitetail buck many years ago. But will add that I often think of building a 25-284 because I really like that case sized up or down. I currently have two 25-06 rifles, a 700VS and a 1V Ruger. With the advent of StarLine 25-06 brass I may have to think about another one
Matt

The 257 roberts AI is still in the 6.5 creedmore power level of cartridges in my opinion. i would like to get up in power level i like the 25-06.
I was just wondering if some new .25 cal kid on the block was making noise..
Its not easy to find a nice 25-06 any more ..i think any used one you pick up is gonna need a new barrel right off the starting line

Seems like the awesome 257 SAUM is not being included in this conversation, and wondering why.
I hunt deer now and then with a 10 twist and the 115 Bergers.
Also a 7.5 twist shooting the 131 Blackjacks...They seem to do anything my old long gone 257 Weatherby ever did....

Again, you're in wildcat territory.

Last I heard, RSAUM cases were hard to find.
Has that improved any?

Oh, speaking of hard to find.
Add to the factory cartridges the 25WSSM.
Speed about equivalent to the 25-06 but in a much shorter and fatter case.
I really need to get mine out hunting this year.
