25-06 load data

guys i have an old man that i think alot of and he is in need of an accurate 25-06 load. he has more powder than powder valley i just need to get him an super accurate load for a rem 700 bld standard 24 in barrell
thanks... swampthang

I have had a 700 BDL and an A-bolt. Both liked 115 Grain Nosler Ballistic tips and H4831. Try a 2 to 4 grains less than book maximum.

Try this load as it seems to work in many .25-06s:

Winchester brass
115 Berger
210M primer
52 grs H4831
Bullet seated right at the lands.

I am a old man too. I have a old Remington 700 sender that has had a ton of bullets down the tube. I got some 115 bergers and the old gun now shoots better than when it was new. load is 58grs h-1000 does 3115fps and shoots out to 1000yds better than I can hold. got a nice deer last year at a lasered 904yds!

Both of my barrels have shot great with:

53g IMR4350 with 100g bullets
60g Retumbo with 115g bullets (especially 115g Berger HVLS 40 thous off)

Usual caveats.

What primer are you using with the Retumbo?

WW or Norma 270 brass necked down and cut down, 54 grs H4831, Fed 210M primer, 108 gr JLK VLD bullet seated into lands. Outstanding long range load. The 108 has a greater bc than the Bergers about .500, and very well made. The 270 brass is as strong or stronger than 06 brass.
