Shot 43.5 again at about .025 off (2.305" comparator measurement), and it was horrible. What a difference 5/1000ths can make! 44.0 was still looking good... nice half cluster, still spread out a little too much, but I think length adjustment would bring it together. 44.7 also came into a nice horizontal alignment with the 2 in the middle basically in the same hole, and with speed just breaking into the 3300fps range. (Much better than the 3120-3150 I was getting earlier with IMR-4350 being pushed pretty hard.) So I think next time out I will be looking at 44.7 again... maybe go 44.6, 44.7 again, and 44.8 all at 2.310 just to ring out the best charge, but then see what a 44.7 which looked best this last time can do moving further out to 2.315 and even 2.320 which I figure would be about .010 off still in my gun.
My buddy shot a sub 1/2" 5-shot group with my gun using 45.8 of Reloder 19 and Sierra 85HPBT's at 2.650" COL w/Fed210GM's, but again - speed was only about 3,023fps. More proof though that this gun is capable of some great accuracy! So I just have to find it with this 80 Blitz bullet, that's all. Getting there (I think - slowly).
