243AI on Short Action

I have a 700 sa bdl that i am wanting to re-barrel to 243AI. Does anyone know how well i can expect a loaded round with 107 smk's to work in the factory magazine?

you will be limited to 2.8" plus maybe a littld, so the seating depth will be deep in the case the case length is trim to 2.040 and the bullet length is 1.227 thus the bullet will be .467 minimum into the case - and the case neck is .250+/-

Have the action milled out for a Wyatts box.

Problem solved with minimal invested.......

Easy fix. CDI bottom metal with Alpha Magazine. Have to open up feeding ramp to allow for Alpha Magazine. I have an HS stock with CDI bottom metal and Alpha Magazine. No feeding problems to date and my oal shooting berger 105 VLD's is 2.875 (best length for groups) but I can seat out to 2.895 without hitting. Give me a buzz if interested. It is, I just had a 260 done for the 140 VLD's.
