243 with Sierra MatchKings

Does anyone have any load data for a 243 with 70gr Sierra MatchKings bullets? Would like to know what powder and primers work the best in the load.

Thanks in advance...

What reloading manual,s) do you have? There are plenty of good loads in the Sierra #5 manual. I shoot the .243 Winchester in my Remington 40XB Rangemaster. Will you be using the Matchkings on paper targets or varmints. For varmints the 70 grain Blitzkings would be more suitable. Let me know and I will check to see what powder I am using.

never noticed a difference in performance between the MK's and the Speer TNT's

but the TNT's were a lot cheaper and let me shoot more for same $$ spent

I have two .243 guns. One is a remington 40X and the other is an xp100 with a shilen barrel. Both like the Sierra matchking 70gr bullet. I use 35.5 gr of IMR 3031 and it is a milder load.
I can get .3 to .4 on the 40X and .4 to .6 on the xp 100. . . pretty consistently. I have also found the Berger 80 gr bullet will even do a tick better. These are 5 bullets at 100 yards with at least 2 minutes between shots.

I have used the 70gn SMK out of a custom .243AI at over 3600 FPS over a couple of powders . Accuracy was ordinary and performance on game poor . The 80gn Berger match HP at a little over 3400 FPS ,with H4350) was far superior in both respects .
