243 with a 75 or 87grn v-max

With the 87s, will a 7.7 twist over rev the bullet?

I shot 55 grainers in a 8 twist no problems. Factory ammo, 55gr Winchester Ballistic Silvertip.

So I assume 87 V-max will be no problem in your 7.7 twist

In a 12"tw McGowan I shoot the 87 Vmax in Win or Rem brass, WLR primer, 42.9 gr H4350 with about .005" jump. Easy half moa at 300 yds.

Hi, I use 75gr VMax pushed by 42gr Varget at 2.710 col. Speed is 3,500 fps in 1 in 10 twist, 22 inch barrel. It is a tack driver...1 hole at 200 yds. My go to bullet for small deer and targets.

That's a fast lot of powder.

75 grain VMax, 45.0 grains of AA2700 (15 year old lot), Nosler brass, Federal 210 primer, Savage VLP, 26" barrel. First group after barrel break-in routine at 100 yards, 15-20 mph gusts (and normal shooter error!)
