243 load H1000 sierra 100GN pro hunters

I have been working up a load for my Remington 243 pretty sure the twist rate is 1 in 9". I had some barnes brass laying around so I went to work ..... I have found a good node using CCI 200 primer 48 gn of H1000 and sierra 100 gn pro hunters chrono = 3100fps So here is my question Im looking to switch to Lapua brass and 100 gn nossler partitions Is my node/load going to be close to where it was or is all the work and data worthless?

In my experience, Nosler partitions can significantly shoot different than other bullets. Also, they have not been the most accurate in my rifles but the tradeoff for improved terminal performance is worth the decrease in accuracy, after all, a deer* has a large vital area.

* I assume you are interested in the partitions for big game effectiveness.

My all-time favorite 243 bullet for all hunting applications (deer, varmints, predators) is the Sierra 85 BTHP combined with IMR 4064 or Varget. This bullet is extremely accurate in every 243 rifle I ever tested, and its terminal performance is outstanding, if on deer, you place the shot in the vitals, not the shoulder. There is also the inherent advantage of having one bullet / load for all hunting applications. These bullets are also cheaper than partitions allowing for more economical practice.

I am a Sierra fan. Except for the OPs bullet. Ex shot a buck running dead away up a step ridge side at close 200 yards offhand. Great shot, deer went straight down. Started kicking, got on it's feet and ran about 40 yards and stopped. You could see it's head . Ex said I can't hold on it, no way to get to a spot to rest the rifle. She handed her rifle to me, I shot it in the head. When we skinned the deer out the bullet was in a million pieces dead between the shoulder blades . It hit the spine, did no apparent damage and expldeded into tiny fragments. 100 gr Pro Hunter, hot load in a .243. What really puzzled me was I have shot a lot of deer with the 55 gr Game King in .223 with 100 percent great results. I think they are similarly constructed bullets. Only ever shot one with the 85, deer was running, went 25 yards down and dead.

In my experience, the 85 BTHP at about 3,100 f/s mv does extensive tissue damage in the vitals. They don't run very far after hit with this bullet. The classic broadside shot behind the shoulder in the vitals is a sure "meat in the freezer" proposition with little to no tracking.

However, all my experience is under 200 yards with this bullet.
