243 Fury

Like the idea of that case. I'm waiting on some, and a barrel from Nothland for Savage with Saami std. .243 chamber.. Hoping for a 70Bal Tip at 4000+. If it doesn't get there as a std.243, it'll be rechambered .243AI.

I just got the 277 Fury brass formed and started working up loads for the 260 AI, while fire forming. This is another world. Using AA2700 and AA4350, 130g ELD-Ms with factory primers, Velocity went to 3100 while fire forming, and it is nowhere near the top end, being able to raise the bolt handle with a single finger on my 700. I only have one year of brass, 24, and I did no brass sorting or neck turning. The AA4350 is incredibly accurate while fire forming.

308 Win, 7/08, and 243 AI are next....maybe

I just wanted to state that other than experimenting with the hybrid case for higher velocities, I was desiring to create a 243 load that would somewhat substitute for my 6Rem and 6RemAI loads. Those brass have become difficult to find, and I have become rather sparing in their usage.

Since this venture has shown such good promise in velocity and accuracy for a lower volume LR hunting and target load and I have obtained a good stock of cases, it appears this will keep my other larger 6mm's at home for a while.

I am even imagining how this case may also work for 243AI or even 6mm SLR.

I've got a SLR already spun up. Where would a fella look for .277 brass?
