Has any one tried RL17 in their 243 AI.

I am just making up a load ladder for my .243Ack Imp40* .I shoot a piece I put together..Savage Target Action..Shilen 28"bbl. 1x8 twist..270"neck. Bedded in a modified Stockade P/D-Tac stock with Farrell 20MOA base and Warne 30mm QD rings mounting a Sightron 8-32x56 LRD scope. I'll post my results as soon as I get a decent day,little wind) to shoot....I use RWS and Lapua brass fire formed in a dedicated 111 Savage re-chambered to .243Ack with a .275 neck that lets me neck turn to straight necks of .2675" for a piece of brass that needs no resizing to reload.after firing in the Target piece.soft seated into lands..It's been shooting 5 rnd groups best of .081" and Aggs of .135-.147..@100yd...great Bbl from Shilen..chambered to my dummy I sent them.....LOVE THIS PIECE..!!

Love to hear the results, have a 243AI from Shilen on the way 1/8 twist and want to shoot heavy bullets.

I have a Shilen 1:8 twist .243AI and am working on fire forming the brass. So far with just 43 Grains of RE-22, it has shot the 50 rounds I have fired in 5 shot groups under a 1/2". That is shooting the 95 SMKs btw.
