.243 AI brass forming

What kind of accuracy are you getting from fireing standard .243 loads in the
.243 AI chamber

Not the 243 AI, but in my 6mm AI, some of the most accurate loads that I have fired have been with fireforming loads.
I use a good stiff load for the parent case. The accuracy has been great and the velocity not too much lower than received with the loads that are fired in the fireformed brass. The brass forms well and the loads are not "wasted"... they work great on varmints.

Great idea! I have two .243 AI's, a 14tw and a 8tw. Both shoot FF loads at 1/2 MOA or better!

47.0-47.5g of Win 760, 70g Nosler BT, cci 250, Rem 7/08 brass neck turned is getting us 3750 fps and shooting 3/8" groups in 28"-29" barrels. Formed brass is shooting tiny, tiny groups at 48.0-48.5g of Win 760, cci 250 and the 70g noslers.

My 243 FF loads were extremely accurate. Try a few 3 shot groups off a bench and i think you may be ready to slay come critters....
