2300 Yds. Very Humbling...

I was out this past Monday with a couple of buds. We tried our luck shooting at 2300 Yds.
I had 1 hit out of 30. Very poor marksmenship. But I did learn a few things about
shooting at this distance for the next time. I have nothing but admiration for those
shooters who are consistent at this distance. Pretty amazing.

Anyway, I tried to embed the video but didn't seem to work.
If anyone's interested, here's the video link.

Look's like great fun.

Thanks for sharing the video

It's a blast (no pun). If you ever have the opportunity to shoot LD/ELD go for it.
Can't wait until next week to do it again.

Yeah, me too. So, do we know of any shooters who are consistent at this distance?

That was my question too. ;D

I know a few shooters here in Las Vegas, NV that shoot LD/ELD pretty consistently.
They average 40%-50%. IMHO that's pretty consistent.

Great video
I have a 7saum and have shot and won comps out to 1500y with it, I always thought it was a good thing but that made my day.

I think you should tell your mate to sell his 338 and get a real gun ;)

I love my .338 Lapua Magnum. I know when it hits it's mark, there's enough
inertia to knock it down!
Thanks for viewing though.

Mark,

Thanks for another entertaining and very professional video. This is better than most of the stuff on the Outdoor Channel.

Thanks also for including all the Hardware specs and Load info in the "Credits" section at the end.

What video editing software do you use? I'd like to be able to do a vertical "crawl" like that. Really nice work Mark.

Sorry MD no offence meant, just Aussie humor that did not work.
The 7 saums got more hits on target than the 338 so ( the humor, get a real gun "get a saum" )

Thanks Forum Boss for viewing and the kind words. I really enjoy sharing whatever
little bit I can add to this forum and it's members. Really one of the best I've ever
been associated with.

I try and add as much gear/ammo info as I think anybody would be interested in. Being a novice at shooting LR/ELR and reloading I know it really helps me a great deal when others include helpful information.

I use Adobe CS5 Production Suite. One of the setting in Premiere Pro has a title section that has a preset for a credit roll. Works pretty good.

It's cool Gadget. No offense taken. And your absolutely correct, my buddy Dale was
top dog with 4 hits with his 7mmSAUM. There's always the next time though right...
