How do you compare these two chambering when using a 75gr class of bullet in each? Lee

The 22/47 Lapua will outshoot the 22/250 AI on any given day with less powder... At least mine do..
Since buildng the 22/47 Lapua, the 22/250 AI rarely see's the light of day...
Both rifles shoot the 75 grain A-max.....
Even my 22BR's will outshoot the 22/250 AI with that same bullet, with even less powder...

Preacher, you say out shoot, ok, that i do not doubt as to accurcy, although my 22-250 shoots into the .100's

what do you see velocity compare and what bbl lenght do you have the three calibers in?

Can you tell me about the dimensions of the reamer (if you know them) used to chamber your barrel. I am probably going to order a 22x47L and need to explore freebore length etc. prior to ordering. Any recommendations on a reamer print?

All 3 of those rifle have 28" barrels on them, and have never crono'd them..
The reamer was spec'd for the 75 grain A-max.. and a cleaned up neck...

There is a section at the end of the .22/250 article on this forum that has some good information about this question. In my case I can't do a direct A/B comparison because my rifles in the two calibers have different barrel lengths and twist rates. However, I would give a slight velocity edge to the .22/250 AI due to the slightly greater case capacity. Accuracy in my rifles in both calibers is very good, don't see much difference at all. Everything considered, ballistic performance is essentially a toss-up. From a practical standpoint I have to give the edge to the .22/250 AI as I was quoted in the article. Good Shooting! Vic
