22ppc powder choice

My BIL is building a 22ppc, for hunting purposes. He is wanting to try Sierra 50gr. spire point bullets, in Lapua brass.
He likes speed and has asked me to work up some load data, on Quick Load for him.
What powders have any of you had good accuracy and velocity with?
No powders that would create a compressed load, please.
TIA
Mike

Try some 322. It works well for guys in this area in cool and cold weather. Start around 24-1/2 grains and work up to 26 gr. So far it's the best cool/cold weather powder we've found for either a 6 or .22 PPC.

My Daughters 22PPC likes H-335, 205 primers and the old Remington 52gn. match bullet. Extremely explosive on PD's, groundhogs and especially crows. And as accurate as most BR rifles. Never have to weigh the powder, just drop it and add the bullet. Old guys like me, like that.

I shot a 22ppc in matches one year. Ramshot Exterminator with a 52 gr bullet was the best at 3500 fps.

I shot many, many thousands of rounds in a Match rifle, turn p. dog and squirrel rifle. WC844 shot the 50g Sierra lead tip blitz, 50g TNT, 50g Nosler ballistic tip into very, very tiny groups in the area of 3550+. I used PMC 7.62x39 brass converted to PPC with Federal 210 and cci 200 primers...accuracy was simply fantastic.

Barrel life is 2-3x H322 with WC844 which is a Military surplus H335.
