.22lr pistols

I need to buy another 22lr pistol, but not sure what to look at to cover all my basis...

Requirement is threaded barrel for suppessor...

Ive had a threaded Ruger 22/45, it was ok. I shot it out to the point I need to sent it back to ruger to be rebuilt. It was far from flawless, always jammed.

I shot alot of rugers, this ones been the worst.

Anything on the market better than a Ruger? Im not savy as to what semi autos are out there that are threaded or can be upraded to be a heck of a pistol...

The feed lips on the factory Ruger magazines are generally very rough. They’ll feed great once polished, but honestly why buy something that has to fixed right out of the box?

Whats your opinion on "best pistol" then?
Not sure I have an opinion on what’s best. Doubtful that anything in the $200-$400 range can be “best”. I’m not bad-mouthing the Ruger. Mine functions flawlessly but it took a ton of mods to get it that way.

Only shot one Buckmark. Maybe that one was a fluke but I never saw it get through a magazine without hanging up or misfiring.

I have had several Rugers over the years that worked just fine. Several years ago I had an employee offer me a Browning Buckmark heavy barrel for $100. It was nearly brand new and appeared mint. Even had the original receipt and spare magazine. I told her it was worth quite a bit more and urged her to find a better buyer, but she needed the money and wanted it out of the house (drunk for a husband and a son that was turning thug). Still have that gun and it shoots like a match gun. Friend of mine had one identical to mine that refused to feed an entire magazine and wasn't nearly as accurate. Either Ruger or Browning....take your pick and take your chances.

Been pretty happy with my Ruger. It's a lot of fun and shoots fine with CCI Standards.

Another Buckmark fan. Biggest reason is ease of cleaning compared to the Ruger.

I have put thousands of rounds through mine and I never recall a hiccup. For a while when I was a teenager, dad and I went to an indoor range weekly and burned through a pile of ammo. I'd have to cook lunch as he was still fumbling with his Mark 2 and my Buckmark was cleaned up.

Just picked up a Taurus TX 22 and so far really like it. I have a number of centerfire pistols DW Valor, HK Expert, Sig P226 Legion SAO, CZ Shadow 2 etc, however needed a 22 pistol for plinking. Never though I'd purchase a Taurus of any flavor however after reading many reviews on this pistol I thought I'd give it a go. It is comparable in size to a Glock 19 so I like the feeling of a full size pistol (not a toy sized one). It has a 16 round magazine and after firing 200 rounds or so without a failure I am liking this 22 - my 2 cents.

I wouldn't claim it the "best" but my SW Victory 22 is an incredible value. For the price point, it's way better than it has a right to be. There's a ton of great upgrades out there from Tandemkross and Volquartsen too.

I have a 5-1/2" Ruger bull barrel on a Volquartsen lower. My son has a Ruger 22/45 Lite. We both shoot Steel Challenge and put 5000 round per year through the two guns. We have been doing this for the past five years. The pistols run just fine.

Ruger auto pistols are sensitive to what you feed them. Federal HP and CCI Mini Mag works just fine in both guns. They will not run reliably on standard velocity ammo. Ours will not run reliably on Aguila Super Extra.
