22bra, 22gt or 22dasher

I was talking about various bullets anchoring coyotes, and the reason is that I have had friends shooting 75g V max on chucks in 22/250's where they said that the combo did not kill worth a darn.
I think you mean A-Max, which was replaced by ELD'm perhaps? I wish there was a heavier 22cal V-Max available, but to my knowledge there isn't.

The bullet is definitely a big factor, if not more so than caliber size I believe. Inside of 200yds, my .223 w/53 V-Max's anchores them better than my .22CM with the 64TGK. The TGK is a tougher bullet and it just punches a wound cavity clean through. The V-Max violently explodes and stays inside. They make squishy/jelly sounds when you pick them up after a chest cavity hit.

Regardless, the Creedmoor is still a better long range round.

My nephews are killing deer and hogs with the 64g TGK and the 65g Sierra game king, tougher bullets.

A pard was having great luck with the Hornady 108's this year blowing up p. dogs, someone you can trust on the results. This would leade me to shoot a 6 Creed with the 108's, maybe a 243 AI.

I have shot many coyotes at 500 and in with my 6 Dasher and 87 gr V-max bullets. A better combination I have yet to find and not bad on hides either. They always expand at most any distance you can make the shot. Just ask the Rockchuck that disintegrated at 712 yds. Lol! My longest shot ever. Have fun.
