I shot with a fella today that was shooting a 22dasher. we were shooting out to 400 yards in a modified varmint for score match. He claims that the 22dasher is a great 600 yard chambering. I wouldnt know to be honest. I just would think that a 22BR would do just about as much as the 22dasher but there again i wouldnt know. How much velo gain do you get with the dasher over the BR with an 80gr berger bullet? Would inherit accuracy be a tad bit better with the 22br over the dasher? I dont want one or anything i was just wondering about this. If i were to do something like that for 600 yard shooting i think i would go with a 22x47L . Just curious if anyone here has both of these chamberings, and whats your opinion. I know i dont see to many 22cal chamberings in the equipment lists. Lee

Lee,

I have both, but they are in varmint configurations...NOT bench guns.

My 22BR is a 14 twist and shoots 40`s @~4000

My 22Dasher is a 12 twist(replaced my 220 Swift) and shoots 50`s @~4000 also....

Have yet to try 55 or 60`s in the dasher, but i will.......

P.S......I really like `em both...

Shot my 22BR with 80gr amax at 600m on sundays F class shoot in absolutely atrocious conditions. A big tail wind and strong gusts from side to side. Still managed to keep things around the MOA mark. I will be shooting it with 90gr bullets all the way to 900m because its possible. Learning to drive it will be a challenge but its not impossible. I rate the standard BR for 600m and this weekend its getting a run at 700m. Its a 7 twist trueflite barrel. I have a 10 twist 22BRX that shoots 69gr noslers for kangaroo culling and for fox shooting. Its very accurate and have shot well with it 500m F class too.
