I had a factory 22-250 that I shot the 53gr out of. seating depth was fine, it was the twist that was not fast enough. Shot good at 7000' of elevation, but keyholed at 1000' at 50 degrees and below. Was a 1-14twist I think

As the title says, anybody using the 53gr. Vmax in their 22BR? All info is appreciated! Primer, powder and barrel twist etc.

Thanks
Yes, using those bullets with 28.9 grains Benchmark and getting .2 and .3 groups at 100 yards. 26 inch 8 twist PacNor barrel on a 700 Rem action with Jewell trigger and I need a 36 power Weaver scope to do it.

Kinda don't understand the 12 twist thing you guys have going on these. I've shot them in a 222 1-14 twist at 3300 and had groups in the high .1s.

I worked with a guy who had a Cooper 222 Remington and the 53 max was going side ways there the target.

Just tried the 53grn V-Max bullet in my 7 Twist 22BR Krieger barrel, it shot very well...
Benchmark 29.6grn
Primer: CCI-450

I am looking for load with Vit powder what would work best in 22br using 52 hpbt or 53vmax either Vit 133 or 135 or 140 just new to this calibre
