22BR Barrel Life

This may have been covered in earlier threads and if so, I apologize.

I'm considering a new rig in 22BR and not having actual experience with the cartridge can anyone tell me what kind of barrel life I could generally expect. Velocities seem to be on par with the 22-250 but hopefully barrel life is better.

Jim: I had a Shilen Stainless 1-12 chambered in 22BR, and at 1400 rounds fired did not see any signs of firecracking, as verified with my Hawkeye borescope.

Three 22-250 barrels were burned out at between 2300 & 2450 rounds, and some serious firecracking could be seen at 800 rounds fired.

Pulled the 22BR barrel off the receiver ( a blueprinted Rem. 700) only because I needed the receiver for a new 30BR build.

I found the 22BR to have an accuracy advantage over the 22-250's. An excellent cartridge.

I have a 1:8 twist Hart in 22BR pushing 80g VLD's @ 3200, its out to 1950 rounds and still going strong, shooting 95's to 99's @ 300 to 600mts.
This is a great round and a lot of fun to boot, plus it's cheap to feed, I just loaded 60 rounds and the powder I used would give me about 27 load's for my 7 mm Rsaum. that's 5 details v 2 for the rsaum.
I use the BR for most of my club shoots to save the comp barrels.
