22BR 80g 1:8 twist 30'

Hi,

If any one can help, I'm in need of load data for 80g pills through a 1:8 twist 30" pipe.
That should be easy you say, but I'm in OZ and we cant get all the powder you can.
From the 22br page I see a load of 31.5g h4350. the closest powder I can get with a similar burn rate is win 760 I'm going to start at 28g and move up slow.
So would any of you have a load that could save me a lot of time powder and pills.

PS, I have been watching the 22br sizing thread, it seems the different reamer problem is in OZ as well. I was told my chamber was rem but turned out to be Norma, what's 40 odd thou between friends.

Gday gadget, I have just finished shooting my 22BR with 70gn flat bases, but have used 80gn and 90gn bullets in faster twist barrels. AR2209 is the same thing as H4350 and is the powder to use for 80gn pills. 31.5gns of 2209 would be a fairly mild load, so maybe start with a few cases loaded with 31gns, then gradualy move up to 34gns which will start to be a bit warm. I would say you will end up at around 34-34.5gns of 2209.

33.0g 2209 gave 3242,3232,3229,3232,3239fps. I'll shoot this load on Saturday and see how it goes.
When I pushed it up 34.3g 2209 I showed ejector marks on the brass,bolt lift was OK primers OK 3289,3276,3262fps.
But the biggest puzzlement was a perfect 3254,3254,3254
with 34.2g 2209 again ejector marks but primers OK.
I think the chrony must be faulty or stopped reading.
Now I'm in the game.
