22arc photo request

Could some one please post a photo of the 221 Remington fireball next to a 22arc cartridge please.
Maybe even a 22ppc
I have scoured the internet and it appears no one, absolute no one who knows how to load and push the 221 rem fireball vs. The new fabulous bolt blowing 22arc
I know the 22arc is comparable to the 22ppc but its not the 22ppc so stop that.
I cant stand hearing new generation use the ppc as its comparison. I guess im stuck in my ways
But if the 22arc is still popular in 20yrs and has left a trail of gold medals and trophies in its wake it may become ok to use the two as comparison.
As i see it..its a cool little new cartridge absolutely nothing more..its not worth chasing after
If you want true accuracy got to ditch the gas gun first and get a bolt, and if you do that guess what i bet you chamber a ppc not the arc.
Back to my original request
I have looked and looked
I can find the photos of 22 valkyrie, 22arc, 22ppc 223 rem, 222rem
All i want to see is the arc being compared to the 221 not the ppc..that is nothing but a marketing scheme in my opinion.

...thank you Gundog! Man those dont even look close..next to the 221 the 22arc looks huge.
But from what i read a 60gn bullet from a
221= 3000fps
22arc =3100fps
What am i missing?

You were likely looking at gas gun load data. I run a 22 Grendel, which is exactly a 22 ARC, at 3800fps with 55s in a Borden BR rifle. That's not book data and is pretty hot. It is a .070 long ppc and shoots great.
The 6 ARC is a little shorter than the 22, for whatever reason. Either .030 or .040 shorter.

Kind of stinks to have to back off in a gas gun.
Why not use an AR-10 for the 6arc and really crank the velocity out. Lots of meat left around the bolt head , definitely be fun to spend time getting it to run, and then tune
Think of it as a 6arc rifle built by Ruger..they over build just about everything they make..i dont hear many stories or ruger anything breaking but a spring, or firing pin. Due to user error.
all the parts are available
I surprised no one has done that yet for hot rod wildcats ..the ar-15 is cool but its a little pee-pee pew pew compared to its big brother. And the 308 bolt and bolt carrier is a completely different beast in comparison. To the AR-15

Imagine what the .20 practical could do out of an AR-10 if it can withstand greater pressure limits and tune the gas bleed off. Wow!..you could probably push that cartridge fast enough to rip bullets apart and need some special 5r rifling or something. I want to see 4500 fps out of a AR-10..hahaha..why?..why not!..bullets+ velocity = interesting findings
curiosity is reason enough
(Ive never looked into it as it just came to me in a vision.)
I may have to jump over to AR-15.com and ask them boys what they think..
Damn it..some times ill get an obsessive thought that just wont rest .
Seems to me the only real issue will be jaming some sort of Delrin fillet block in an 308 mag to accept a 6arc case and not slide all over

Oh boy..im gonna drop my other ideas and look into this.
Would love to hear more thought on running a 6arc, 22arc hell even a 6br or one of its bigger brothers out of an AR-10 platform.
can we accomplish bolt gun velocity if we use a stronger platform capable of greater pressure
The faster i pushed my 20 practical the small the groups at 200 were..impressive group size for an ar-15..but may be thats all in the beauty of the .20 cal..and not the same in 6mm i dont know.
i know im all over the place..but 6br is usually ran out of a tunes 308 mag in a bolt gun..
This makes sense

Who has done this..please chime in

I get 3400 fps from a 62 eld vt in 22arc with a 24 inch barrel. I’ve shot a few over that approaching 3500 but showed pressure. 3390 is my load.

IMHO, a 223AI case is about the ideal size for an AR15. Anything bigger than that and you're limited by the strength of the bolt rather than the strength of the case. I love my 6.5 Grendel and I think a 6.8 SPC would be just as sweet when using heavier bullets to shoot deer or hogs, but for light to medium weight 22 cal bullets, the .223AI case is a perfect match for the AR15 platform. It only gives up a little bit of speed to the ARC (and that's questionable IMHO). I have accurate loads for a couple of uppers that push various 75gr projectiles over 2900 fps from 20" barrels. Those are not AI chambers, and yet they are nipping on the heals of what what Hornady has listed for the ARC. I'd be surprised if an AI case couldn't pull up even with the ARC, especially if you start with 5.56 LC brass. Then there's the added benefit that the parent brass is cheap and easy to find. I'd be shocked if the 22 ARC ever accumulates a significant amount of accolades. In competition, anything the 22 ARC can do the 6mm AR, 6mm Turbo, and 6mm Hagar can do better.

The question with the 22 ARC is how does it stack up against other cartridges when chambered in a bolt gun. Seems like when you're shooting the same projectile out of a barrel with the same length and twist, it gives up quite a bit to bigger cartridges like a 22-250. Seems to me like people would be comparing it to cases like a 22 GT, or 22 Dasher, or even a 22-250AI to see how the barrel life compares. It wouldn't surprise me if the ARC lasts longer, but after 2500 rounds, I'd probably get board and want a new chamber to play with anyway...

The big AR question to me is why hasn't the 20 Sploder caught on for the AR platform? In fact, the 20TAC seems like heresy. Its a violation of the natural order of things. Everyone knows that the first 3 things you do to a new cartridge is make it an AI, then neck it up/down to the next caliber, then AI those new wildcats. I can understand bumping the Grendel shoulder back to make the 6 ARC so it can run a longer bullet, but there was no reason to go through all that work on the 20 TAC. It's a travesty of justice. An abomination to all things natural I tell ya! :)
