224 Valkyrie

I had one as a 22" barreled gas gun for a while and shot it out to 1000 yards with the Hornady 88 ELDM factory with good results but getting hand loads to shoot as well was not as easy as other calibers. I tried several powders and had some decent results with the 88's and SMK 90's. I wasn't mad at it but sold it to fund another project.

I find it easy to find a load for
get some really good 100 yard groups
but haven't tried stretching it's legs yet

Some guys on snipershide love it. Long 223ai performance in an ar, no fireforming. Starline makes brass.

I bought closeout dies at a local shop and a used reamer off ebay. Its on my long list of eventually projects.

I have an AR with a 1:7 Valkyrie barrel that will shoot 1/2" groups with a 50grain HP. Really didn't expect it to shoot that well. Haven't played with heavier bullets but confident it would do well there too.

It has kept me from diving in on the 22ARC, don't think I'd gain much.

I have a 20" AR in 224V 1:7 shoots 90 grain atips & cfe223 just outstanding at 600 yds. Shoot it for some of our kyl matches and hammers coyotes!
