I'm looking for a bargin, hopefully on a decent 1:8 blank that could finish 26" for my first build. I'm going to be chambering and threading it myself for the very first time and don't want to spend a ton in case I mess it up. I've never used a lathe but have a gunsmith buddy who is going to help me learn and sell me his spare lathe once am proficient enough.
I'm also interested in some scrap barrels to maybe practice on to prevent messing the good one up. I've always wanted to do some gunsmithing but never had the avenue to learn first hand til now.
