223 Savage 12 LRPV or Build or?

Browsed the list and didn't see a 223. Most of the list is beyond what I'm looking to invest.

I'm only interested in a 223 with a barrel nut set-up. Now, it's just a decision between Savage or Remington.

Thanks everyone for the advice. I'll keep researching and post what I come up with.

What didn't you like about the finish? Appearance or performance on a rest?

What about the Savage 12 F/TR in 223?

If a F/TR fell in my lap at a decent price, I wouldn't turn it away. The 7 twist would help with heavier bullets but a 9 would be OK too. All things being equal, I'd rather have the LRPV stock.
