.223 Rem

Does anyone have a pet load for a .223 1:8 twist using VV n540 and the 75 grain amax. At least a staring point as opposed to just going with the load data. This rifle is new to me and while I have lots of experience with Varget and the SMK's, I have no experience with VV powder or the heavier bullets.

Thanks

I cannot say for myself of this powder.but will say that by doing a load test will give you a better idea of what your looking for than loads from us.yes I know some ones elses loads may help out with the testing.but a good ladder test will show you the two accuracy nodes you are wanting to see.but maybe some one will chimm in and help you out.sorry i wasn't able too.

I used N-135 for my Hornady 75 AMax & BTHP loads with great sucess never used any thing other than Varget for bullets heavier than that.

I use 23.0 gr of H4895 or VV N140: both work great, but the N140 might be a hair more accurate. This for an AR, so maybe it could be a little more stout in a bolt action.
