.223 for cottontail headshot?

I use my 222 on rabbits, if the shot is frontal, bloodshot meat runs all the way to the rump, if they are side on I find the top jaw, skin/nose are attached to the ears in most cases with nothing else remaining. Bloodshot meat may run into the neck, but no further.

The 22-250AI I use leaves bloodshot meat EVERYWHERE no matter which direction you shoot their heads from.
