223 cal 80 gr SMK ?

I bought a box of 500 80 gr SMK bullets, how can I tell if they are factory pointed ? They came in a white box with green writing. I want to load them for my Tikka T3x 223 cal 8 twist 24" barrel. Is anyone loading these and has a good starting point for load and seating depth ? Using the Hornady tool my measurement to the lands is 1.923 with this bullet.

If the meplat is very closed they are factory pointed. Sierra closes up the points very well. I shoot them at 600 yds. with 25gr. of Varget and jumped .035"-040" from the lands. They do very well indeed!

If they're pointed you would see because there is a minute change of angle on the tip.

The Sierra 80’s are very jump tolerant. Set them to .025 off and never worry about it again. My AR match barrels have shot them very well with around 24gr of R15.
