.223 AR Velocities - Longer Barrel, lower Velocity?

We chrono'd 6 14.5 barrels against the 16" Colt 6920 gun today some slower, some faster.

Assuming all were chrono’d the same day with the same ammo.

Are the barrels the same twist rate?

I have an 18” Wilson Arms 1/8 .223 Wylde that shoots pretty much the same speed as our 1/7 twist 20” White Oak (Wilson Arms Blank) with a WOA .223 Wylde Chamber. Same Ammo/Same Day.

I think the 18” is just a fast tube….not only is it Fast but also the most accurate ar barrel I have ever owned. Coincidence, maybe.

Side Note: Last year I used it in AR Tactical to win the Oklahoma Mid Range Prone State Championship, the NRA Mid Range Prone National Matches (all 4 matches & National Championship) and my 12 year old shot it in the Texas State Rifle Association (TSRA) Mid Range Prone State Championship matches (for the Win).
