These were about .015 off at the 1.878. I’m done working up anything with them. I will use this load to finish off the box I have and leave them in my rear view. Too many other bullets that seem to shoot more consistent across the board. They drive tacs in my Tikka .223. VV133 would not shoot for me in my rifle. Varget shoots bug holes. This bullet, in my experience, likes to be into the rifling about .010. Just what has worked great for me. Good luck and keep us posted.

Oh yeah, I have many great loads with the 60 vmax. They are a much better choice for accuracy so far vs the 62VT from my limited texting. I really just never see much that looks great with theVT to further test much more.Try the 60 Vmax if you have an 8- or 9"-inch twist. My three Tikka's shoot extremely well and consistent with this bullet and Varget or H 4895 / IMR 4895.
PS: The 60 Vmax is a hammer on predators.
They seem picky for sure. Most I know that have messed with them didn’t have stellar results. I mean, most around MOA, but in rifles that shoot many other bullets closer to .5 moa.My wife's rifle shot the 62 eldvt into the smallest three shot groups she had ever shot. Probably high ones. Three back to back. We didn't do any more load development.
They out performed everything in the pdog field. Far superior.
It's possible that some barrels might not like the shape, but my barrels seem to love them.
1:7 is going to spin those bullets close to 320K rpm. I'd look at 1:8 - you'd still be going close to 280K rpm.I’m running em in my daughter’s 223 rifle. Did try few powders with them. But 25gr benchmark they are shooting great. 3125fps out of 23” barrel. .5moa 10 shot groups and 3 shot bugholes consistently. I wouldn’t give up on the bullet. Try some different powders. It has great BC for the weight. It is so fun to shoot that I’m having another identical one built for me.1-7 twist Kreiger on a Bat hammerhead.
I tried em in my 22 creedmoor in a 1:7 up to 3680fps and never blew apart any. Jackets seem to take rpms well. Felt like I was wasting hp in that cartridge and went back to 80s. They shot well though. I know that they don’t seem to like 1:9. Was worried 1:8 would likely work but to close to marginal with 223 velocity. Was figuring they would be closer to 3kfps too, but getting more velocity than I planed. Overall has worked out as great cartridge/bullet combo over traditional 22cal varmint bullet bc’s.1:7 is going to spin those bullets close to 320K rpm. My understanding is it would just be a matter of time before one or more did come apart.I tried em in my 22 creedmoor in a 1:7 up to 3680fps and never blew apart any. Jackets seem to take rpms well. They do not....I wish they'd come out a year earlier so I put a faster twist barrel on my 223AI.I know that they don’t seem to like 1:9.
Because you can't load them to mag lengthProbably a reason Hornady doesn't offer that bullet in a factory 223 load.
