222 With LT-32 powder.

After 350rds I checked it, and I had to move the bullet out .023 more to get to the touch point, even though I only had to move it out .002 to stay at the front of the node.

0.023" erosion in 350 rounds !?!
That's insane.
I never tried LT-32 and don't think I will after hearing that.

The barrels I have/had that erode the throat / freebore the least are Shilen barrels, But they still go bad due to fire-cracking.

In all fairness to the powder, I was using hot loads and the barrel had a low round count. It was going to move a bit in the first 500 anyway. The lot I have is delivering excellent accuracy.

I wonder how the old (original) 8202 would do in the 222. Anyone try that in the 222?

I had settled on h322. however, I can't find that either now. I see some easing of shortages . Still lots of items are in the lunacy phase like primers.

222 Remingtom mag brass is hard to find . I did buy some Nosler but after using Lapua Brass , The nosler brass that I got STINKS . Sence 1976 I have mostly used Federal 6X47 brass That I had a lot of but it is about all used up now . I'd like to build another 6X47 but good brass is hard to find . That is why I building a 222Rem .
Or are you talking about 6X47 lapua ??
