.17 fireball and Accurate Lt-32

Starting to load for the .17 fireball. Since I have a few # of Lt-32 which seems to be similar in burn rate to H4198 that's where I'll start. Anyone try this combination with 20 grain bullets-?

In my Rem. Model 7 with the the standard Remington, loooooong throat, the 20s are an exercise in futility. I use 25s exclusively with 17.6 of N133, & BR4s .010 OTL.

I looked at load data for H4198 and LT-32 and their start and to loads in a .223 were around 2 grains apart. I would suggest a phone call, or a little further study. I am not saying don't use, but grain for grain, they are 10%+- apart.

Thanks for the heads up. I've talked to Todd Kindler of the Woodchuck's Den and he gave me a lot of good advice also. I have V133 which also seems to apply for this cartridge.

I understand it doesn't answer your question however FYI, I use N133 in L/C cases with the 20 gr. V-Max. Getting 4050 fps and 1/2 MOA at 200 yards. The 25 gr. V-Max with 1/2 gr. of powder less does 3950 fps with the same accuracy. This is from a 26" 10tw PacNor.
