222 Lapua brass coming back?

Jim,

if the quality isn't any better than the last batch, it is not worth buying.

Flash hole uniformity was TERRIBLE.

Hello Jim,

As far as I am aware, when Lapua discontinued the Deuce last year, there was no talk of ever bringing it back. You still have two great pieces of brass available from Norma and RWS.

Cordially,
Bob Blaine

Yes, I'll agree to that comment about Lapua brass. Just rec'd 100 from Bruno. In addition to flash holes that have a small ridge of brass in the hole, and case mouths that are crooked in relation to the straight parallel side of the case necks, I've been told by Ken Markle that the company is under new ownership, and case necks are not being properly annealed. Brass is too hard, and necking down to 22BR produces some really ugly results, although they did straighten-out after the first firing. He said I had the choice of annealing the necks, or buying Norma. I bought Norma, & will not buy Lapua again. Another fine company destroyed under "new ownership".

The 222 rem brass sold a few years back was subed out by lapua not produced at lapua factory.
I just recieved 100 222 brass made by Lapua June 2009, you will not be disapointed in the new Lapua brass its a 10+

Glad you are happy with the newer stuff.
Can I ask where you bought yours and how can you be sure of what you are getting?TIA
Matt
