20-222 Neck Busing Question/Help

What neck size bushing would I need for a 20-222 no turn neck, using Lapua brass. Basically if someone could mic one side of the the neck of their 222 Lapua brass, I can figure out the rest ((x) x's 2)+.204-.002=Y
Thanks!

OK.....

Here is what i got.

Lot # P00418501

Lapua .222 brass

.0125-.0135

This is why i turn ALL my brass.......Most of it to .012

My necks are "cleaned up" to 013 as chamber is 234 neck, and 227 bushing actually does 228+. 002-0025 clearance (per side) on neck. Using formed 223 win cases. Mostly depends on chamber dimensions. Tom.

.20-222 remington has been in my intrests lately!!! i think this would be a great little round. any ballistics on this round?

I've got the same question, but regarding .20PPC from .220 Russian. Doesn't the necking down process cause the neck wall thickness to increase? How much?

In all calibers I form down from a parent case, I usually have to neck turn, if only to remove the high spots on the new neck. I also anneal as the final step after forming and turning. JMO

Pretty much same answer, depends on chamber dimensions. 260 rem. Savage mod. 10 necked down 308 brass gave 003 neck clearance, using 294 bushing, very little brass is being worked. For 17 rem f.b., 223 brass formed to it requires neck turning, as you're into case body, a lot thicker. Ain't it fun?!!? Good luck, Tom.

But that was with a .237" No Turn chamber. Adam

Mic the neck dia. of a case fire in your chamber. If you need to turn the necks I would use a bushing .004 your chamber, but you must turn your necks for .002 neck expantion as the necks will spring back about .002.
