.222 CLC?

Phil

Gold $$ Contributor
There is a picture of a cartridge, in the .17 caliber section, called the .222 CLC.

It's obviously based on the .222 case, can anyone help me with some information about it?????

Phil.

I found a picture of a 222 CLC. It looks like an Ackley 222. Maybe not 40 degrees but blown forward. I also saw a picture of a 17-222. There is a little info on the cartridge guide on Accushooter. Matt

Matt,

The most common thing i found when researching the authors name was obituaries.

Hopefully this is just a coincidence, but it`s not looking like an easy trail to follow...

Thanks for the help,

Phil.

I did a search on Google for .222 clc cartridge and then clicked on images. The whole thing took five minutes or a little more.

Boyd,

That`s about the only info i have been able to gather, i found it right here on the forum in the .17cal. section.

Looks like a 222 mag with a 45 degree shoulder. Since it has a sharp shoulder, and being blown out, the OAL brass length looks longer than a regular 222. I believe George Kelbly shot one.
