221 Fireball Chamber Question

Can you cut a 221 Fireball chamber with a 223 reamer? I could probably figure this out, but since you knowledgeable guys are out there, just thought I'd ask.

It's doubtful that the .223 reamer would be able to be run in far enough to get the base of the 221 the right diameter without going to deep...

No, you cannot. The body taper is altogether different and would not allow a 221 case to fit into a short chambered 223.

Thanks Guys, I appreciate your input.
Know anyone who has a 221 reamer that they would sell or rent? I have 36 yrs experience in the machining business and a Hart barrel that cuts like butter. I'd like to get away without having to spend $100.00 bucks on a one time project.

Buy one from Dave Kiff, do the job, and then sell the reamer, you'll only be out less than $50.00 at the most..
It will be set up for the exact bullet you plan on using.....

Elk Ridge reamer rental is also a good resource especially if you are going to use it once. I have rented from them and the reamers have been sharp. He uses Pacific reamers.
