I just built a 220 swift on a Yugo 24/47 and am looking for loads. Its a 1-14 twist 24" barrel. This is a new caliber for me and am looking for a good place to start. Thanks for the help.

The load may be a little HOT I would start around 38, and work up. I load 40 grains IMR 4064 in my swift Savage 112V with Hornady 53 grain HP match the swift drives this bullet fast enough to blow up well on woodchucks out to 500 yards. John Roberts

IMHO, the 55 gr. bullet was made for the Swift. I've been shooting the 55 gr. SIE for years. At 3700-3800 fps, it is hard to beat.
